Around Six years ago it was month of March, one morning my friends were planning to visit Viasno devi temple in Jammu.We were six friends and one day decided to go Vaishno Devi temple in Jammu.
We have inquired about route and other information about our journey, first we had to book train tickets.I was given all responsibilities by them like ticketing, inquiry about our journey.

♦ 11 March 2010 – We got reservation in Garib Rath train which leaves from Kathagodam to Tawi station (Jammu) in every Tuesday once a week at 6.30pm, we paid Rs.568 each. We all were excited about our journey,we all were prepared for it, after couple of days our dream was going to become true.
♦ 23 March 2010–We went to Haldwani by bus its 90 Km far away from here, we reached Haldwani at 4.30 pm then Babbu bought lower (morning walk kit) and we came back Kathagodam station; we saw the train was ready to leave station; we got into the compartment and took berth. The train was left 6.30pm.
We were going to travel 769km nonstop, inside the compartment there was cold because entire compartment was 3AC.It was over night journey for us and that was my first long journey.

♦ 24 March 2010-We reached in Tavi station (Jammu) at 9.30 am morning, where my friend Jaggi (Jagmohan Singh ) was waiting for us in station arrival gate. He lives in R.S.Pura in Jammu which is 25 km far from Jammu city. He is my best friend, i met him in Almora last year when he had come here with his father. He is graduate from Cyprus University in Cyprus , we met him in station and we all were glad because met him after one year.
Jaggi had arranged everything for us, we went to hotel where Jaggi booked a room before our reaching. Whole day we took rest in hotel room and evening we moved on market and Jaggi told us next day plan that how could we go to Katra (it is main city to start trekking towards Vashno Devi) temple.
One time we felt nervous, how can we reach on the top of Mountain because it is situated 13km far from Katra city however Helicopter facility was also available there but it was too expensive for us.

We started trekking afternoon, and reached top at 4pm.When we reached there, we saw very rush spread temple area.Finaly we decided that we should be on the queue. There were many devotees have come across the India, not only Hindu devotees but also different religious devotees have presented there. We got stuck on the queue, it took 6 hours for Mata’s Darshan.

Vaishno Devi, also known as Mata Rani. The journey to the Holy Shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi is an enchanting journey of the places where Mata Vaishnavi had spent some time while observing various spiritual disciplines.
It is believed that at some point of time each one of these 33 crore deities have worshiped Goddess Vaishno Mata.

After 6 hours we entered inside the Temple and worshiped for a while, after that we felt lucky & fortunate. We were getting tire. In spite of doing rest, we decided to go another destination & our next destination was Patnitop, it is situated at between Jammu & Srinagar highway. It is 150km far from Jammu & 100km form Katra city…..

It is connected by road and Train from all main cites.
Nearest Airport is Jammu 45 km from Katra city.
Nearest Railway station is Tavi Station in Jammu

There are lots of accommodation available.
Best time to visit...
It can visit whole year.
