JAMMU TRIP- PATNITOP

Patnitop

On March 2010 we had visited to Vaisnodevi Temple (Jammu &Kashmir), after visiting temple, we decided to expend our trip for some days.However we were visiting there first time so, we hadn't any plan in our mind.

When we had returned Katra in morning from temple, rested for some hours and left to Udhampur city by bus.there we had have our lunch. After lunch we got bus which was going to Doda city, it was last bus to go this road,we requested bus conductor for giving us chance to travel this bus, finally he agreed.We reached Patanitop at evening and we booked 2 rooms in a hotel.

Patanitop is looks like a Kausani (Almora) Enveloped by thickly wooded Cedar/Deodhar forests, Patnitop offers beautiful picnic spots, peaceful walks and breathtaking views of the mountainscape of the Chenab basin. In winter, the resort is generally covered with a thick mantle of snow. My some friends want to go Srinagar but my few friends refused that proposal it was very disappointed for them.

Next morning we were going to Badot on foot in middle of dense oak trees. We went to Gurudwara (it is temple of Sikhs) and met head of Gurudwara committee, we felt a positive energy from there Getting some time  we came back to Jammu by bus.When we reached in Jammu now Jaggi  was about  to go his home, since last week he was with us .

He told us  that he would bring his Car & Scooter for taking us  our next destination, it was Mansor.It is famous for lake, it is situated at 56km far between Jammu & Pathankot highwaway.We reached Mansor at night, booked 2 rooms.
   

We got up early and prepared to go visit lake side, it was nice lake,we saw different kind of fishes. In after noon we came back to Jammu and prepared for going to Jaggi’s home,it was our last day in Jammu.We reached jaggi’s home although his parents already known about our travel so they were waiting to us for coming home.

They were very happy when we reached their home and Jaggi’s mother prepared Rajma & Chawal (cooked rice) for us. Having lunch we went to see his farming field where they were harvesting. At evening time we got permission to go back station because 11.40pm our train was going to depart so we reached station at 8pm. And we were about to travel over night again.

 We arrived at 2.20 pm in Haldwani and came back to Almora by bus.

HOW TO REACH

Jammu city is approached by bus, train and air from all city. It is only over night journey from Delhi.

Patnitop is situated on the way to Jammu-Srinagar highway and it takes 5-6 hour drive from Jammu city.

There are lots of resorts and budget hotel.
