After returning from Gangotri temple in the evening, we stayed that night at TRH Uttarakshi. Next day morning we left towards Chopta (Rudrprayag), where we were to visit the Tungnath temple.
The usual route is through the New tehri road which is main
highway that links to Uttarkashi, but we chose another way that links direct
Ghansali via Lambgaon (Near New Tehri ). This way we save time by traveling
shorter distance.
That was new route for us so we picked a slower pace towards
Ghansali. Driving on hill area is very dangerous but our friend was as good a
driver as anyone can be though he was driving this route the very first time. I
love to travel to Garhwal side of Uttarakhand, so as always my excitement was
as high as always.
We
reached in chopta after driving 10 hours from Uttrakashi.
We reached in Chopta by the evening and found a guest house that was situated on the way to Gopeshwar. We booked a large room and settled in quickly as the weather outside was very cold and freezing.
We
reached Sari village by afternoon, from there we had to trek 3 km. After
trekking one hour we reached on the top where lake is situated. The lake
blesses tourist and trekkers with reflections of Chaukhamba Peaks on its
crystal clear water.
DEOVRIYA TAL
It
is situated on the Chopta-Ukimath road about 2 km from road head at Sari
village. This lake has captivating surroundings with forest all around. The
reflection of the mighty Chaukhamba peak in the lake creates a beautiful effect.
Deoriya Tal (Rudraprayag)
Deoriya Tal (Rudraprayag)
The lake is situated amidst lush green incline field surrounded by dense forest. It serves as a famous trekking destination in the region because of its ease of access and soothing scenic view. It is also popular for musk dear sanctuary, you would be lucky in the morning while deer come to drink water from the lake.
How to Reach
It
is linked by road from Rudraprag and Gopeshwar. My suggestion is that whenever
you visit Kedarnath temple, you should visit Deovriya Tal.
Visit time
Throughout
the year
